New solvers come with new license (free upgrade until April 20th 2025)
The latest upgrade replaces the previous solvers with a selection of more modern 3rd party solvers. This resolves the issues with the older direct solver which was affected by a previous windows upgrade (our biggest headache) and so now allows larger modal and buckling analyses. Also there is a more robust conjugate gradient solver that uses an incomplete cholesky preconditioner. It has fewer iterations, is generally faster and works with modal/buckling solutions but takes more memory so the more economical diagonal scaling preconditioned cg solver is also included.
Owing to the new licensing system, the new demo mode will now only be for Elastic analyses and trial users have to request a key.
This release incorporates a new licensing system so you need to contact us for a new license which will be free for Basic users and free until 20th April 2025 for Pro users. Please provide your old license(s) and/or any other information to allow us to track you more quickly on the database.
